Nursery Places at Knowleswood

We offer full and part time Nursery provision for 3 & 4 year olds. All children are entitled to 15 hours of FREE Nursery provision (5 sessions) per week. Entry to Nursery is in 3 intakes at the start of each new term over the year, however parents can request an earlier start time after their child’s third birthday if required. Where spaces are available, we offer a fully flexible choice to parents to set a scheduled provision throughout the week to suit their individual needs.

Nursery sessions are;

8:30am to 11:30am for morning sessions.

12.15pm -3.15pm for afternoon sessions.

8.30am – 3.15pm for a full day, lunch is provided for those attending all day at a cost of £1.60, unless children are entitled to free school meals.

In September 2017, the government introduced an additional 15 hours of extended entitlement for working families (30 hour funding). Please refer to the website for further information https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Additional sessions for those not eligible for 30 hour funding are available charged at £9 per session. Please contact the school for more details.

When the time comes for children to move from Nursery to Reception, the transition is carefully planned to ensure that the children are familiar with their new classroom teacher and the Reception environment.

Visits to the Nursery are available, providing you the opportunity to see the wonderful indoor and outdoor provision that Knowleswood offers and meet the Nursery Team to discuss your child’s needs, interests, likes and dislikes.
