Everyone at Knowleswood aims to keep children and young people safe, by contributing to providing a safe learning environment and by identifying those who are suffering, or likely to suffer significant harm. Staff are trained to take appropriate action, to make sure children are kept safe both at home and at school. Achieving these aims requires the school to have clear systems to:

  • prevent unsuitable people working with children and young people
  • promote safe practice and challenge poor and unsafe practice
  • identify instances in which there are grounds for concern about a child’s welfare
  • initiate/take appropriate action to keep them safe and contribute to effective partnership working between all those providing services for children and young people.

If anyone has any concerns linked to safeguarding at out school it will be passed onto one of our named child protection officers:

Victoria Wyatt - Deputy Head Teacher

Clare Cosgrove - Assistant Head Teacher

Christine Marshall - Assistant Head Teacher

Julie Robinson - Parental Involvement and Safeguarding team
